Carparking at Top of the Bruce Rd
There is a dedicated overnight parking area, provided for all mountain club members at the top of the loop road. It opperates of a first-come first-served basis.
Remediation Work Complete!
After many years of planning and hard work, we're proud to report the completion of the re-roofing and over-cladding of the lodge. This project came in under budget thanks in large part to the hard work of the Remediation sub-Committee - Mark Nalder, Rod McIntyre, Adrian Bosch, Adam Follington, Steve Willis and Sharon Willis. The principal contractor for this work was Ted Manuel of Rapid Builders and Renovators, based in Auckland (see additional news item below)
NZCT Grant
Iwikau Ski Club was very fortunate to recently receive a $25,000 grant from the New Zealand Community Trust. This was given to support the overcladding of our Whakapapa lodge as part of our remediation project. We're extremely grateful for this grant and thank the NZCT for the great work they do supporting community groups like ours.
